Volunteer at the Museum

The majority of the work undertaken at the Museum is done by volunteers, so the strength of the Museum volunteer teams is highly valued. We attempt to match your interests and desires with the necessary functions, to effectively operate the Museum and to maximize the enjoyment of your participation. There are a wide variety of interesting opportunities for all volunteers to exercise their current skills, to develop new skills and new friendships.

In order to volunteer at the Museum, you are required to become a member. All volunteers can receive tax reduction benefits through credits for travel costs, meals and other volunteer-related expenses. Volunteers log their time at the Museum and this record determines the credits that are issued as a year-end tax receipt. Your time is valuable and as a Registered Charity, the Museum is allowed by Canada Revenue Agency to recognize that value in a tangible manner.
